Car Parking

Parking’s easy at EK. We’ve got over 2,397 parking spaces, spread across five car parks – so you’ll be able to find somewhere to park that’s handy for you. Our car parks are part of the Safer Parking Scheme and we’re also DPA accredited. All Car Parks have bays that are dedicated to Blue Badge holders. Car Parks 1, 2 & 3 have bays that are dedicated for Parent and Child use.

Parking is FREE after 4pm Monday to Friday, for up to 3 hours on Saturday and all day Sunday.

Car Parks 1, 2 & 3 (Centre West, Plaza and The Hub) all have a pay-on-foot payment system. You’ll collect a yellow token at the barrier when you come into the car park. Keep your token with you, and use it to pay for your parking at one of the pay machines in the relevant car park.

Remember to collect your token from the pay machine before returning to your vehicle.

Strict hygiene rules will be in place with hand sanitiser at all pay stations and parking tokens on a ‘one use’ cycle, meaning no token will be handled by more than one person before it is sanitised.

Car Park 4 (Princes Mall) and also the Ice Rink Car Park are operated by vehicle recognition and are pre-pay car parks. Your car registration is automatically logged by CCTV when you enter and exit the car park. You should visit a pay machine when you enter the car park. There are two pay machines situated within Car Park 4 (outside the centre) and also two pay machines inside the centre at the Ice Rink Car Park.

Paying for your parking
You can pay by cash or card in all of our car parks.
Pay machines accept contactless payments, as well as Apple Pay & Google Pay.

Customers can park for FREE at EK, East Kilbride at the following times:

After 4pm Monday to Friday

For up to 3 hours on Saturday*

All day Sunday

If any of the above apply to you, you are not required to visit a pay machine you can proceed directly to the exit barrier and insert your token to depart.

DROP OFF / PICK UP

If you’re dropping off or collecting someone at our car parks, there is no need to visit a pay machine for visits less than 15 minutes.

If you have taken less than 15 minutes from entry to exit, then you will be able to exit the car park provided you have not inserted your token in a pay machine*

*Please note you will be automatically charged for stays under 15 minutes if you insert your token in a pay machine

How to pay for parking

Car Park 4 is operated by vehicle recognition and is a pre-pay car park. You’ll need to visit a pay machine when you enter the car park. Your vehicle registration is automatically logged by CCTV cameras when you enter and exit the car park. There are two pay machines for this system situated outside the centre; within Car Park 4.

Instructions for pay machines at Car Park 4

– Visit a pay machine when you first enter the car park
– Enter your full correct vehicle registration
– Check the tariff and pay to the desired time required
– Pay the full amount required for the time that you will be in the shopping centre
– You will then receive a paper receipt which will have your exit time printed on it
– Please note these machines take coins only and no change can be given

How to pay for parking

Ice Rink Car Park is operated by vehicle recognition and is a pre-pay car park. You’ll need to visit a pay machine when you enter the car park. Your vehicle registration is automatically logged by CCTV cameras when you enter and exit the car park. There are two pay machines for this system situated inside the Ice Rink foyer.
