COMIC CON EK Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September


East Kilbride is gearing up for its grandest ever celebration of all things heroic and fantastical.

EK Comic Con is back, with a host of iconic characters – including a first EK appearance by The Hulk – remarkable cosplay costumes, and a galaxy of merchandise all on display in Centre West on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17thSeptember.

The Marvel favourite will be roaming EK, East Kilbride on both days along with other show icons including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Optimus Prime, Sonic, and many others.

The Ghostbusters and Slimer will also make a welcome return, with a very special guest star in tow.  The fifteen foot Stay Puft man will be floating in Centre West for the duration of the event, while the Ghostbusters car will be parked up outside the main doors at Centre West. Perfect for those all important selfies.

In a new twist on the event, attendees will be able to take part in a Comic Con scavenger hunt. Find the hidden superhero items around the centre, and you could win a fab prize.

For gaming enthusiasts, arcade machines and modern gaming consoles will also be available, while those with a flair for DIY can partake in ‘make your own slime’ and ‘make your own superhero mask’ classes.

A highlight of the event will be the highly anticipated return of the BGCP Cosplay competition. Throughout the weekend, participants will showcase their incredible cosplay outfits, with the winner crowned at the culmination of the event.

With an impressive lineup of new characters and our regular heroes, plus host of activities, the event promises something unforgettable for everyone.”

EK Comic Con will take place at EK, East Kilbride from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th SeptemberEntry is free and no booking is required for workshops and meet & greet sessions.
