Shoppers in East Kilbride are in for an egg-stra special treat this April, with a school art competition, cracking selfie areas and a fab scavenger hunt set to delight families throughout the school holidays.
Adding a creative twist to the celebrations, EK has invited three local primary schools (Our Lady of Lourdes, Blacklaw and Greenhills) to decorate their very own giant Easter eggs. The completed designs will be displayed in the centre from Saturday 4th to Sunday 19th April, giving shoppers the opportunity to admire the artwork and vote for their favourite via the centre’s Facebook page.
Each participating school will receive a £150 gift card for books from Waterstones, while the winning school will also receive a £150 gift card for art supplies from The Works.
Visitors can also take advantage of three giant Easter-themed selfie areas, ideal for capturing some memorable moments. Positioned in different locations across the centre, the interactive installations include a giant Easter egg, huge chocolate bunny, and a supersized Easter deckchair, offering the perfect backdrop for seasonal snaps.
Adding to the fun, families can take part in a fun-filled Easter scavenger hunt. Children are invited to explore the centre in search of hidden letters placed in participating stores. Once all the letters have been found, they must solve the Easter-themed puzzle to be in with the chance of winning a fantastic prize.
